Thread Starter | foam sucks (come at me bro)
I feel bad for noobs getting into audio engineering and wasting money on foam. I don't want to type a whole paragraph out about how bad it is but TRUST me a thick $3 carpet or reflection filter is a much greater investment. If u want to look cool buy foam. come at me. inb4 a bunch of gearslutz members selling foam from their website hop on this thread. |

Why are you just posting stupid ass shit on the forums looking for a reaction. 1. Carpet will work, yes, you are right about that. But obviously you don't know anything about sound treatment, because its not even just "buy some foam and put it on the wall." Carpet will work for some things but, there are situations where things that can be fixed easier with foam and some with carpet. 2. You sound like a 13 year old saying "Come at me" 3. If you want people to take you serious, don't make definite statements when you don't know what your talking about. Saying carpet can be much cheaper and therefore more effective makes sense, but saying foam is stupid makes you look stupid.

^^^ Agreed. I wish I could walk into someone's room and see their problem frequencies and know the certain foam pieces they bought aren't treating their room in the ways that are being required. I suppose people who use bass traps would be better off removing the walls in their studios instead. |
