How long of a shift did a musician work at Motown?

Hi everyone—I'm glad to be in the presence of such experience, of which I'm a long-time reader. I love a lot about popular music, which includes Motown and everything included with it. To that end, I'm curious as to how long a shift each member of the Funk Brothers worked, if what I read is correct about Motown being essentially a 24-hour operation? Did each of the drummers (three of the most mentioned being Benny Benjamin, Uriel Jones and Pistol Allen, and from what I've read, Marvin Gaye and even Larrie Londin later on) work straight through until one was tired or another could show up, and likewise with the guitarists?
