Ok I been recording for a while and I'm trying to get better at mixing n then mastering later on in the future right now I have for speakers m audio rokit 5 and for preamp I have a chameleon mk2 for Mics I have aaudio technica 2020 n have the diamond bundle plug in from waves what I need to know is how to make the chorus sound like the chorus also how to make every thing come together without sounding like its clashing is there any good videos to watch on this subject or book to read and the gear I got so far is that sufficient for a good sounding mix and eventually a good master and also those audimute absorption sheet any feedback on them

it all starts with a good arrangement. If you've got that right your job (on both counts) becomes easy. If it doesn't already sound 90% there perhaps start by going back to the arrangement and working on it again. When it comes to mixing, perhaps start by reading the mix engineers hand book. But don't expect to be able to do this stuff overnight. It can literally take years to learn how to do

Less is more. A lot of producers hear more than a typical consumer that gets confused about too much happening in the mix. |
