Curious: what are your slowest months?

To everyone who's been doing this a while, I'm curious what sort of patterns you've seen at your studios over the years?

I'm finding July-Sept to be my slower months & and Jan-Mar to be my busiest.

July is definitely slowest, march to may and november are usually the busiest.

It helps to get some special discounts going for July, make sure people are aware of it long before. thumbsup

September - December are usually pretty slow at my place. February - May tends to be pretty crazy!

Thanks for chiming in, guys. I'd love to hear from others too, but so far I'm seeing a similar pattern.

December-February are my slowest months. Except for my regular clients, the commercial stuff completely dries up between Thanksgiving and New Years.

For me - January thru December are my slowest months.

Of course, they're also my busiest months.

Honestly, there's really not much difference here. The only thing is December. If people CAN and WANT to finish up before Christmas, then it's insanity. If they decide they can't finish by Christmas, then they put it off til the new year. That month runs either hot or cold.

Same here, we are really busy right now and fully booked forn the next few weeks. Thew front office is full of CDs waiting to be picked up by customers and we have two more full-scale projects (from tracking to packs of CDs) in the pipeline. That is four such projects this year so far and more to come.

Summer is slower, as that is when everybody is touring.

Thanksgiving to New Years tends to be my slowest time of the year, I'm always busiest in the summer and fall.

January and February, then it picks up and May-June-July are pretty crazy. December is usually a good month.

Work usually starts slowing down in April and starts picking up again in September, this year looks no different.
