um, i dont think Converse is part of the "community".

It's a pure business move, no doubt. if you want your local landscape franchised off to the highest bidder, by all means. people took the same viewpoints back 20 years ago when walmarts, applebees, barnes and nobles, etc started littering the landscape.

good times indeed. pinnacle gentrification.

you get what you pay for.

Didnt Nike buy converse? They dont need to turn a profit... They can provide whatever they want on a whim and undercut the guy whos been recording and working their way up in the community and building his recording rig up for years.

What if the free-Starbucks opened up across the street from your local neighborhood coffee shop? Thats a more anology... Just sayin... not a fair comparison.
