Help me ship a console accross Canada. Which shipping company should I use?

Here's one for the Canadian slutz.
I need to transport a console from Montreal to Vancouver. I originally planned to make a cross-Canada road trip of it, but various obligations have ruled this out. I'll have to ship it.
There are many informative gearslutz threads about shipping consoles to Canada, but none about shipping within Canada. What shipping/crating companies would you recommend? Success stories? Horror stories?

Thanks!

Steve

I had a Yamaha 02R shipped to me in Edmonton a couple years ago via DHL, from California, and never encountered any trouble. I can't remember if the sender had done the packing through them as well or not though.

The console I want to ship is a lot bigger than a Yamaha O2R. I'm not saying it's as big as a monster SSL, but it definitely won't fit in a box. Perhaps I should have been more clear in my original post...

Steve- McCollisters United Van Lines. US company, but I'm sure they do Canada as well. Whatever you do, insure the console for 2-3X's what you paid for it. Or however much it would cost you to find a brand new one or immaculate one, decommission it, and ship it to you expedited. I can't tell you the number of times we've had a console damaged or totally destroyed or left out in the rain or ??? McCollisters ships on air shock equipped trucks and have fair pricing. Have the console professionally crated. Good luck.

The cheapest you will find will be Apex LTL or Western Canada Express. Pack it as well as possible and then insure it to the max. We use them for all kinds of fragile items and they have the best track record of the truck freight companies we've used.

I got a quote from apex and was pleasently surprised, did you ever shipped a console with them?
