Ideal room calculator (dimensions/volume/surface)

Hi,

I have looked around but cannot find anything similar, although i am certain there is a lot better out there. You can post it here !

Here is a little calculator i made to calculate the ideal proportions / height / length / width / surface / volume of my recording studio.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27942418/id...calculator.xls

If you have any better calculators or if you think this one needs correcting / improving then please let me know.

Thanks
RickD

That looks pretty good Rick, though you could make the instructions a bit clearer. I wasn't sure which of the three green fields I'm supposed to enter the height.

In case you're not aware, my Graphical Mode Calculator adds extra features that show both a graph view, and also the influence of nearby modes.

Thanks Ethan, i really appreciate your work, and thanks for your addition to this thread. I thought it would be a good thing to have a thread with just calculators.
Your ModeCalc does more, but it is also different.

I have changed the colours in the file to make it clearer.

If anyone has got an RFZ design calculator, i am very interested:
I want to build an RFZ control room but i don't have a design.

Thanks

Various new handy features added, such as surface of walls + ceiling. Handy when estimating costs of wool, gypsum boards etc.
