Another DIY Studio Desk

Hey guys. I just wanted to share my progress on a desk I"ve been working on for the past week. We considered an Argosy 90 series but couldn't see paying that much for a "table for gear". Our antique computer desk works fine but it doesn't feel like a console.

We just bought a Tascam US2400 for cheap so the desk is built around that.

Thanks. I know a guy who does some welding here in Baton Rouge. He did it in a few hours. The frame took about 35 feet of steel.

Almost done with this one. Primed and painted the frame. Covered most of the desk in black plastic laminate. Just working on finishing the red oak end pieces.

I've gotten quite a few offers on the desk. I think I'm gonna build a few more and sell them. This thing is extremely modular. No wood screws were used. It can be assembled with machine screws in about 30 minutes. The frame is another story.
