Blanket fort closet!

Howdie! I'm looking for some general information/suggestions

I'm currently recording in a 5x4 rectangular closet with a 7ft ceiling cleanly lined on all surfaces with 1/2 in thick denim sheets. (cielings floor walls) The ceiling is slanted and drops from 7ft to 5ft

I've got one denim blanket draped over the entrance.

My computer rig is outside of the closet

I've been able to eliminate noise like this but it seems to me that im loosing some crispness or clarity! I'm a total dabbler in recording looking to get a little more serious so ANY good information would be greatly appreciated!

P.s. I wont be stuffing a drum set in there just mandolin guitar and cello- and I'll be using a ypam606 condenser along side an audio technica 2035

Merry late christmas
-Dave

Sounds like it's too dead. Remove some 'denim'.

I may try some wood in there- as the denim keeps me safe from dogs barking and room mates slamming cabinetry

indiana slutz!

maybe take out the denim on floor. what's the floor wood or cement?

i think the denim over the door is a good idea, i'd stick with that.

the bean blossom blues fest? i just moved here this year, but i have heard of it.

yeah, if there's denim on the floor i'd take that out first and try it without it. the other denim i feel serves a purpose. i think if it's too dead in there like everyone suggests, i'd start with leaving the floor the wood that it is.
