Garage conversion

Next year I'll be converting a double garage into a personal voiceover studio. Over the past 25 years, it's a project I've done five times before. Up to now I've done everything myself including back of envelope design and some of the manual work. But I'm hoping this will be my final build. We've found a lovely house and we don't foresee moving again.

So, why this post?

Well, as always we're doing this on a limited budget. But there may be a few quid in the kitty to get some expert help. I desperately want to avoid mistakes and make the best use of the small space we have. So I'm wondering whether to hand over the design to someone more experienced and professional than myself who can produce drawings for my builder?

Is it practical or even viable for a designer to work on a room without even seeing it? And are there any designers out there who won't sniff at small project like this? Any recommendations or stories anyone?

Big thanks
