Help us finish our control room! Comments and tips on where we're at thus far?

We are in the midst of revamping our control room acoustics.. It essentially just used to pretty well be bare. We've started by adding a lot of absorption and then if we are finding it too dead, we can add some paneling or inset diffusers.

Whatevers in red, is yet to be added.

There is one major problem area (blue circle) we have struggled with eliminating, but have narrowed it down - would be great to get some feed back on this area, it's pretty much center room between where the engineer sits, and where the clients sit, but it's a pretty bad flutter.

Also wondering what should go behind the guitars, feel like being at the stage we are now, adding absorption behind the guitars might be too much.

Any tips/comments greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Would love to get some input on this!

Also, wondering, what people would suggest to go above the couch where the clients are sitting... diffusion, or absorption?

Assuming that flutter is what you are hearing, it must be floor-to-ceiling. There's too much absorption on the front and one side wall for it to be front-to-back or side-to-side flutter. So put a broadband absorber or a diffuser above the mic and see (hear) the effect.

Agreed with the above. You can also try a thick rug on the floor to see if it helps.

Thanks for the tip - any opinions on behind the guitars? At that position of the room, it's drywall behind the guitars, and the opposing wall is a big window (same size as control room front) with a brick base/surrounding structure - usually the the window sides brick base is congested with amps and gear.

Across from the window, I'd place some treatment, if nothing else a 4" thick trap at the midpoint of the guitar wall. The old timer in me would think about putting 3 polycylindrical diffusers on the guitar wall. Do you have a covering over the window?
