Garden studio - anyone seen these pre-fabs?

Hi all !

Has anyone had experience building a studio in the garden?

I'm not handy enough to do it, but I stumbled on these folks:

http://www.oecogardenrooms.co.uk/sou...sic-rooms.html

What does everyone think? Any notable pitfalls, tips or advantages?

Really like to hear from anyone who has bought one of these or made their own...

Thanks!

Cool.

I would be interested to hear how "sound proof" those actually are. Also, what is the approximate cost?

Those look neat.

I expect they'd need a lot of treatment to deal with room modes because of their size, and the ceiling looks quite low... but thanks for pointing them out!

You really want to stay away from square rooms and even worse cube shape. If this was a room that was already done I would say just treat it with as much bass trapping as you can but since this is a new build I would say look for another builder or have them build it different.

Yes of course, no squares or cubes - that's well established. These folks do all kinds of sizes - not that they're cheap.

I guess I should have asked if it's viable to make a wooden structure like this soundproof enough for spoken word?
