This is a question about studio furniture. I hope I'm in the right forum.
I'm looking for a studio rack that I can place on top of my desk underneath my display. The closest thing I found on the web were the Nice-Racks 4 unit models, which seem well constructed.
Does anyone have experience using the Nice-Racks? Do you think they would be suitable for the aforementioned purpose? Can you suggest other options?
Would be much more cheaper,
Will have the number of units you want to (you can't buy 3 units racks)

And eventually, he lives in Washington DC, wich is a bit far from Germany.
Not everyone is a DIY guy.
He seems to be looking for a finished option aswell.
If he's got the money and 1week this could be an option, right?

I'm using 2 of these racks btw, they are top solid and laquered.
Agreed. But here we are talking about taking 4 pieces of woods and some screws, not build an entire studio. Plus, it would only take a couple of hours.
I have done this, it is very easy. I would just keep it as one unit though.
Actually, if you have the rack gear already you could just buy 4u rack rails + a 2x8 piece of wood, have them cut it into two pieces of your preferred depth at home depot and screw the racks into the ends. The rack gear will keep it in place and as long as you elevate it very slightly it will not scratch your desk.
Besides the Ikea rack idea (good one), you can buy edge glued panels at Lowes to build boxes for your gear. Either get them to cut them to size or cut them yourself.
