Primacoustic Max Traps and Australis?

I'm wondering if anyone here has used any Primacoustic maxtraps? They seem like an interesting product. I'm new to this forum and am just getting into recording. I did try a search and could not find much info. I am in Calgary and shipping products from GIK, ATS, or Realtraps would add about 35% to their prices so buying from a Canadian company makes sense. Also the australis corner traps are made from foam... expensive foam at that. Is it a bad idea to use them and are they just a waste of money?

Thanks guys!
