room acoustics need help with odd room shape

Hello people.

I am planing to treat my room with some bass traps absorbers etc. The problem is that my room have a bit odd shape. Plus a box over the balcony door with the shutter mechanism and over that there is a gap to the ceiling.

I been thinking to fill that gap with rock wool like the image bellow (the bubble texture is the rock wool and the red box is the box with the shutter mechanism. the gap is twice taller than the 3d representation)

One last thing i been thinking to do is since my room will not be symmetrical

because of the door and the wardrobe. i been thinking to fill the gap over the door with rock wool and place a curtain in front of it so i will give the room a bit more symmetrical shape and make it a bit more squarish shape

Any help any recommendations?

Lightbulb

Your proposal seems correct, and filling various cavities with insulation can only help. Especially if they're near corners such as up by the ceiling.

It depends on the thickness of the trap, and the purpose of the absorber.
