Control Room Window Glass

Does the control room glass need to be laminated or can i get tempered? I know it needs to be 5/16ths and the other 3/8ths minimum .

And does the glass have to be angled? Im getting conflicting answers in the searches I've done.

Thank You.

You can use either. Laminated has more isolation than float and tempered.

? For best matching of isolation the galss should have hte same mass as the layers it is in. With drywall this is one third the thickness of the drywall.

Uh, what are expecting? There is no acoustic reason to angle the glass. It is done for visual reflections, glare contol and aesthetics.

Visibly,
Andre

Great thanks...!

I was reading John L Sayers where he said the glass had to be that thickness minimum and different thicknesses so they dont resonate together. Im using 5/8ths drywall and Rockwool with a 4" air gap studs not touching etc...
