If you are buying a finished product most well known acoustic companies give you room set up help for free. Also you can use the following program to test your room yourself.

I'm not far from NYC and I have many customers there. But depending on your budget, a personal visit may not be needed. No matter what your situation, you'll still be advised to get bass traps and other treatment! You're welcome to phone or email us through the Contact page of the RealTraps site:

You should get someone that deals with large music studios and not those that deal with home theatre and project studios. I just did a little googling and realized that there is some bad info. Someone that does real studios all the time is what you want.

But more importantly. What do you mean by "tune your room"?. What are your expectations? Just saying..."oh the title says everything'...doesn't really tell us exactly what you need. There is a million treatment, eq, gear and layout suggestions to be had.

Perhaps you should start with telling us what gear you are using in your monitor chain.
