Acoustic foam placements help

Hey guys,
I am going to be purchasing some acoustic treatment for my home studio and needed advice as to the placement and how much i will need to purchase.

My budget isn't great and i'm only looking to spend a maximum of £200 on the foam.

The tiles i'm most likely to buy are 'Profiled Wedge Acoustic Absorption Foam 45mm Depth x 16 tiles' for £38 from xlprosystems. - i'm buying 32 tiles in total for £76.

Dimensions: 42.5cm x 42.5cm

The bass traps I were looking at were the 'Universal Acoustics Mercury 600' for £40 each and was thinking to buy 2-4.

Dimensions: 600m/60cm

My room is a little small but big enough to do what I need to do. Theres an obvious sense of reverb in the room and also a window at the end of the room.

Just wanted to ask whether these tiles are worth it, whether thats enough tiles to cover the room enough and how/where to place them.

I also have a pair of Yamaha HS50's and a 27" iMac if this helps at all.

The image attached shows the structure of the room.

Thanks in advance.
James.

You should rotate your setup 90 degrees clockwise so you're facing the window on the right. More here:

Agreed.
Here is a test I did with facing the shorter wall vs the longer wall.

i had already bought them unfortunately so i will be gluing OC 703 to the back of them for added bass trapping

Here's where I recommend placing your foam:

I kid! I kid!

In addition to Ethan's placement advice above, generally you want the bass traps to be corners, starting close to your speakers and working out from there. You can use this listening test to find good places to put bass traps: RealTraps - Filtered Noise

Also use the high frequency absorbers to create a Reflection-Free Zone, as shown here: RealTraps - Creating a Reflection-Free Zone

Hey guys, thanks for the replies but theres a problem with placing the set up by the window. The actual window itself isn't in the middle of the wall but majority is on the right hand side of the wall meaning there isn't enough room for a bass trap in that corner "/
Also, i need to somehow block that window as on the other side is the conservatory and the window is single glazed meaning the sounds are loud from that room as my much younger siblings tend to mess about in there.
