Is this triplite powerstrip better than an regular powerstrip?

Tripp Lite Mobile - Models

Here is a link to a powerstrip I saw in a school and thought this looked perfect for a powerstrip because it has enough space between the outlets to hold wall warts and plugs and you won't lose any outlets with big wall warts.

Any thoughts slutz?

Mikey,

Better for what?

If it works for you and you like it. Why not?

Usually, if a product costs more money, it usually has better contact material, better or larger wire, a better fail rate, higher quality circuit breakers, high quality MOV over-voltage protection... bla, bla, bla... usually. ok?

There are many products advertized as optimum protection and or filtering, but in my experience non of these power-strip style units really do much except distribute power. Just buy the good ones that do a good job at distribution with a good circuit breaker in them so that you don't overload. Buy a SurgeX if you need noise filtering. If you need Voltage regulation; well, now that's big deal and cannot be done with a small unit & usually requires a heavy transformer and control circuitry.

Cheers,
John
