Auralex LENRDs

Any good? Worth it?

I want to treat a corner and building a bass trap wont work for this particular situation.

Anyone have first hand experience?

LENRDs are effective down to about 200Hz or so. For bass trapping below that you'll need larger traps.

Auralex has another product, I can't remember off the top of my head nor can I look at the moment. From what I remember it was also a bass trap and much larger. It mentioned it should be used in conjunction with LENRDS should your setup have a sub. So that could be an option.

But any feedback on Auralex products as a whole? I'm on the fence about them based strictly off of the very vague data I've seen and some posts floating around the Internet including here.

The Auralex SonoColumns, perhaps? Or maybe the 12" Corner Cube.

Regardless of the type of material you use to treat, it has got to be thick to be effective to lower frequencies. No Auralex product is simply thick enough to do this, except the corner cube. But the price is outstandingly high if you want to trap anything but tricorners. And even then, you'd probably get better results with standard bass traps.

Why exactly are bass traps not an option, but Auralex bass traps are? What exactly do you propose?

The amount of space I need to treat is awkward and small. The Auralex options are about the only thing that'll fit.

And why exactly can you not build something to perfectly fit the odd corner?

Also Real Traps does have triangular tri-corner traps

I have built traps in the past that i am currently using. Im just not comfortable building traps that handle specific things (i.e. the low end and sub freq's).
Secondly, its work/time i don't have.

Going to look into those corner traps!
