Roland V-Studio 100 & Tascam US-1800

I'm going to purchase Cakewalk Sonar Studio mostly for home recording Midi, guitar, vocals and maybe a few live gigs with my band. I have narrowed down the USB interface to Roland V-Studio 100 ($600) and a Tascam US-1800 (about $250). The Tascam has 8 inputs and 4 outputs. The V-Studio 100 doesn't seem to have as many inputs but has a lot of features and can be used without a computer to record live etc. My question: is it worth the extra money for the V-Studio? Does Cakewalk Studio have the same features so I really just need the Tascam to get the info into the computer? Please give me more than just "it depends on what you want to do." -thanks

wrong forum......... this forum is about the construction and treatment of rooms - not about the gear that goes into them (perhaps with the exception of speakers)

perhaps the moderator will move you to the right place............

Thanks Rod

Thank you. I put this in another more appropriate forum but I don't know how to delete the original. New user.

You can't delete the thread yourself. Either contact a moderator, or if you want you can delete your first post and just not bump the thread any more. Or just edit it and say "moved: <link>" or something
