Pleaaase help me treat my room

Hey Everyone so my room is like this:

>>>>>>>>>92 inches
..........!-----windows-----windows-!
..........!....................................! height: 109 inches
..124 ..!....................................!
.inchs..!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!....................................!
..........!-=====--- ------===== !
>>>>>>Closet >>>>>>>>Door

So first of all, i got my speakers to the side of the window, so im facing the window. My room obviously has Bad reverb, is like a small room reverb. So I want to kill that horrible reverb and probably add some bass traps. Can you please tell me the best way to kill the reverb like where to place the panels (what material?) and bass traps, or what else to do. I also have a beed in there 73'' x 38''.

I know it is small, but it's all i got right now.

sorry for the bad draw

thanks!

Matias,

Trap every corner that you can. Your room has 12 corners.. not just the vertical ones. Corners are best for bass trapping.

As far as 'verb' is concerned. The bass traps will help a LOT with it but you will also need symmetrical treatment in this room if it is to be used for mixing, otherwise 'Never let untreated surfaces face each other' is a good rule to follow.

Cheers,
John

+1.. John is really trying to just go along with what you are saying as far as "reverb", but in a small room like that you do not have really reverb. What you have is combfiltering, flutter echo and ringing on the low end. BTW ringing (decay time) on the low end is the major problem in smaller rooms and Johns advice is spot on. See the following test I did and also a few other things to help you out.
