1 Monitor in a Corner ?

Ive just moved into a new flat and now have a really less than ideal room for mixing and seems like im going to have to have them in the corner, with 1 monitor in it! How can I make this work ? Apart from maybe moving the desk, as that doesn't seem like an ideal situation due to "disagreements" with the girlfriend about moving the things in the other parts of the room!

Pictures below. Any help appreciated!

Buy her dinner and flowers. If that does not work then pull the desk as far as you can from the corner and put some bass trapping there and the side walls. It is not going to be correct but will be a bit better.

Already tried that so will have to try and sort her out in other ways!

For now though ive kinda managed to get an even sound by using the room control switch for the monitor in the corner and reduced the sound of the low end by a further 2db. But its far from ideal!

The makeup on the mix desk shows you have much deeper problems than speaker placement! LOL

I would highly recommend testing the room with the following program. You will want to test each speaker alone and compare the results. I would think changing one speaker like that would make things worse. Maybe not though so test it.
