Building studio out of 2 10x14 bedrooms

Okay, I have 2 bed rooms, one with a twin in it (frame and all) and another room with full size futon. Both are separated by a 3x6 hallway, and The acoustics in the futon room are good as of now while i use it for the drum room; Other one for amps and controll room. The only problem is that I have plywood crates, 2 coffee tables, dressers + desks at my disposal. Thinking about trying to use these extras to help with dampening or trapping. can I get any help on this? i can post diagram later.

I doubt if the furniture or crates will help you much in terms of sound treatment. You'll need plenty of bass trapping in both rooms, and will probably want to absorb early reflections in both the control room and the recording room.

Well the furniture its self is obviously not going to be more than taking up space, but the whole back wall is hallow so i still need insulation behind it which amazingly is not going to be extremely difficult. I for got to mention the ceiling slightly peaks at about shoulder high (about 5').
So aside that, which is some pretty key info to this, thank you for the tips as well, I'll have to check out those links as well.
