Thread Starter | How to kill a 165hz ceiling null... Greetings, I have just done extensive work to try to flatten my room response. I have massive amounts of all kind of treatments, both absorption and diffusion. I still have an approximately 10dB null at listening position centered around 165hz. Everything else from 300-7800hz is more or less within 6-7 dB in range, with a steadyish drop from 12000hz to 20k which I attribute to the amount of absorbtion panels. However, my ceiling is 211 cm's, and 165hz is a 209cm wavelength, so I think therein lies my trouble. Currently, the 8'x12' ceiling has 2 4'x2'x1" RHT80 roxul panels, 2 4'x2'x2" panels, and 2 'clouds', 4'x2'x2" hanging 12" down. What else can I do to remove this unsightly dip in my response curve? Any tips would be appreciated... Thanks |
