Thread Starter | Were would be the best place to put basstraps ? ( pic included ) Hi, I have an attic with a pointed roof and a strange shape, made of different materials. Because of this, I have no clue were would be the best spot to place basstraps. See attached picture. As you can see, the two walls and the floor are made of concrete. I have a wall around the stairs made of Concrete aerated blocks. And on both sides there are sliding chipboard walls behind which is a storage area. The top of the pointed roof is aboud 2 metre high ( 80inch ) and the chipboard walls are at 1 metre ( 40inch) height. At the far sides, the roof is at floor height. The corners in front of the chipboard are 'real' corners, but I guess the lower freq. will go right though them. Could anyone point out the best places to put basstraps ? Thanks ! |

| You should slide the mix setup to the left, toward the bottom of the drawing, to be centered symmetrically in the room. Otherwise, all the usual advice for treatment applies with bass traps in corners and absorbers at the side-wall reflection points. Though in this room you also need absorbers under the ceiling peak to avoid focusing sound, like this: ![]() --Ethan The Acoustic Treatment Experts
