Vocalbooth question.

I'm really curious about vocalbooth and i do alot of research of vocal booth. But still don't get it :
1. How vocalbooth help our vocal quality?
2.Do we really need vocal booth?
3.Can i use packing blanket as a portable vocal booth?
4.Do we need to face inside the booth or outside?

In a home/project studio, they usually destroy vocals.

Very often: no.

It might help with some high frequency absorption, but it will do nothing for lower frequency absorption or isolation of any sort.

Small closet booths are normally not suggested. You have a better chance of having worse issues inside a closet than in a larger room. Why not build yourself a portable vocal booth you can have in the middle of your room?

It's true. I get better results the moving blanket hung from the ceiling technique over the closet any day.

1) vocal booth might help if it is sufficiently large and properly treated. otherwise it is likely to do more damage than good.

2) no

3) yes. make as large and thick tent as you can.

4) you want to be completely inside the booth singing. no outside anything.
