Where do I start? (Acoustic treatment)

I want to acoustically treat my recording space, but i've tried reading and it just serves to confuse the crapp out of me.

Where should I begin and what process/steps should I take to try treat my room as best as possible. I was reading about looking at acoustics of my room first using some of those analysis softwares etc first.

Any help is appreciated!

Some pics of my room.

As you can see its quite a small space with lots of gear!

It is pretty hard to get a feel for your set up with looking at those pictures, but it look like about the best you can do. You want to have symmetry at the mix spot (left, right, ceiling and in front), which I really can not tell if you do or not.
Here are a few things you can read over that may or may not help.
Acoustic Primer. GIK Acoustics. Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps.
Monitor Positioning. Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps.
How Bass Traps Work. Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps.
What Are Early Reflection Points. Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps.
GIK Acoustics: Room Setup

Then read some more until it doesn't. There are no shortcuts here. All that statement tells me is that I'm wasting my time trying to help him. If he couldn't be bothered to read articles/books/etc, why would he bother reading my post?
