Please help me to set up my new KH 120 :-)))

Hello people,

finally i got my KH 120.I couldn't afford the 0300 but I am listening to them right now and "god" the stereo image is exceptional. They replaced my Krk rokit 6 G2.

So, i could use some advice on where to place them from the front wall and how should i adjust the frequency controls of my speakers.

At the moment my kh120 are 38cm far from the front wall and 68cm from the side walls with a distance of 1,25m between them.

My room is 3,86m x 2,82m .The Grey panels are the London kit and the big brown and pink ones are bass traps with15cm of rockwool.I have covered my desk with foam panels.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Well, looks good to me, should be fine, very fine!
Maybe some mopads under the monitors would improve a bit...

Try borrowing a measuring mic (a DPA 4006 could do as well) and use a measurement program (I don't know about windows, but mac has fuzzmeasure) to check your room for problems. The acoustics look good at a glance so I think you're fine otherwise.

You could enable "EQ for record" with a low shelf of +4dB or a peak of +1,5dB both at 20Hz with Q of 0.7
Where do I enable this?

Hi autobot, I just ordered some KH120's.

Out of curiosity, how many centimetres apart are your monitors?

I would recommend putting your speakers as close to the wall as possible.
See Here for reasons.
