New Studio Desk Build (Inspired by Aaroneous)

Hey all!! Here is my new studio desk I've been working on the last few weeks. This one was inspired by Aaroneous' desk build...."Sound Construction" studio desk clone build I really feel that building my own desk was the best decision I could have made! I was originally looking into an Omnirax desk but couldn't bring myself to spend the $$$$... I'm not real good at carpentry but I figured I could pull it together enough to see results!

The next few days I will finish up the staining and polyurethane! Excited for the final result!

Looks awesome mate, great job. I really want an Argosy Aura type desk but the cost is too much for me. Really looking at a diy build so thanks for the inspiration!

When I see these big desks laden with excess surface area and no angled desktop it seems acoustics and early reflections weren't given a thought.
Nice job on the build though. The center section is pretty crafty!

Acoustics and Early reflections were not given a thought, and there was quite a bit of change in sound quality. I did eq each speaker at the listening position using Smaart 7 and couldn't be happier with the results! Thanks everyone!

I don't have plans, I just looked at pictures of desks I liked and measured and pieced it together as I felt appropriate. Just as long as everything is measured correctly and equally, it went together nicely.
