Portable Vocal booths a viable option?

I've seen many a variety of different portable vocal booths...

Here are some examples...

The "reflection filter" deal...
AE-F reflection filter

The whole DIY box thing...
Portable Soundproofing Foam VOCAL RECORDING BOOTH PINK | eBay

And the actual booth style arrangement...
VOCAL BOOTH - 78 x 42 x 42 - w/Front Door and Light! | eBay

I'm simply wondering, are these actually worth it, or, are they simply not worth the hassle due to little or no effect on audio quality/removing the "room" from the audio. Will I see that big of a difference I guess is the question.

If these are worth it, which one presents the most bang for your buck, or any at all?

I would build something yourself out of rigid fiberglass. You really have no idea what kind of "foam" they are using.
I would go with something like this or mount panels on stands.
