Carpet for Acapella Work(s)

Okay, I honestly have looked over the boards, and could not find a specific answer relating to carpet and vocals (the posts were relating more to acoustic instruments on wood floors). Anyway, I am looking to record vocal/acapella takes as clean and dry as possible (while still having a 3D quality - I hope this isn't a contradiction ), and was curious if a totally carpeted room or a wood floor room is more ideal for what my goals are (with the understanding that both rooms are fully acoustically treated). I suppose the floor situation is the final frontier for me

I was thinking - are there any recommendations for portable wood sheets placed on carpet that would work similarly to a space with a wooden floor? Thank you, in advance!!

Portable

Celitar, there are recommendations for portable wooden sheets in the thread that Soren linked. i.e. Plywood. However, it was intended for underneath drums. If the vocalists are seated I would definitely want carpet or a rug under them. In all cases a cloud or high ceiling is desireable. Overall, unlike drums or some other instruments, I reckon very early reflections from any direction are undesireable. So, carpet or rug, yes.
BTW, check out The Voice Squad (Ireland).

Voice Squad

Their first album was recorded in a Georgian sitting room. High ceiling, decent carpet. The second album was recorded mostly in the church in Holly Wood, at a concert and the day after. Engineer/Producer in all cases, moi.
