Acoustic Consulting Questions

Hi, I hope this is the proper place for this thread.

I have a degree in music, and am about to start the 'audio sciences: acoustic concentration' master's program at Johns Hopkins. My goal is to work as an acoustic consultant.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who works as an acoustic consultant who could offer advice on things to do/not do, what the job market is like these days, thoughts on schools, etc.
