alright don't get upset...

Alright hi guys and girls,

Don't think I got in here easy. I managed to avoid the automated things that block out spammers and weasels of some form or another. And, despite being baked rather extraordinarily, I somehow managed to pass the registration requirements of this forum.

But now, I came here for a reason, I'm sorry guys. Maybe I can give back - I'm good at typing.

But here is the question - I really appreciate anyone that takes the time to answer for someone that doesn't know better.

OK - I just want a cool place where I can re-meet with friends like when we used to play together and i thought it would be cool to set up a studio room - so I can figure that out - I Have saved for three years for it - but what studio software wuold I need and would it be an apple then recording equipment on top of that? What would I need?

Could someone help me an break it down?

I have a good karma policy.

Thanks Johnny

First thing I would have advised would be getting baked but you took care of that already. How many tracks do you want to be able to record at once? What kind of music do you picture making? You've come to the right place and you've already completed the first step correctly

You may want to post your question is this area.
Low End Theory - Gearslutz.com
This area of GS is for room acoustics, which you should have but your question is about gear.

Have you considered getting baked?

Buy an ipad and run garage band on it Alesis makes a nice dock. You will be able to get pro quality results with this, regardless of your talent or the amount of effort. And its a lot of fun... trust me, I've tried it. And if you are interested in soundproofing, just put some egg crates on the wall... all the other stuff is superfluous.

BTW, do we know you? You sound familiar...
