Alesis Monitor Two vs Adam A7X

Hello!

I hope you can answer my question.

I want to upgrade my Alesis Monitor Two to Adam A7X.

Not only for the quality sound but also because the "Monitor Two" are very huge for my room.

But my real question is:
"Monitor Two" vs "A7X" which is better?

Musically

if you don't mind a huge "highpass" feeling on your speakers, than Adam A7x are fine!

wow

are there any shades between black and white?

to the OP, monitor choice should depend on a number of factors. Some of these factors are room size and geometry, the kind of content being dealt with, the levels your clients expect to hear, acoustic treatments (if any), and, last but certainly not least, personal taste... what works for you.

The three way design of the Monitor Two will make it less than optimal for nearfield listening, the relative distance between the individual drivers keeps changing as you move from side to side or front and back. The further the speaker is, the less these differences will bother you.

The Monitor 2 was never well received, and the A7 (which curiously shares its model number with the most famous large format speaker ever, the Altec 'Voice of the Theater') has its share of nay sayers.

If at all possible, please audition The Rock, by Unity Audio. It has taken my fancy from amongst the newer entrants in the market, on account of its straightforward, robust, sealed design.

Maybe cool but it's not in my budget.

I can't put my Alesis monitor two too far from me and it's why I look for a new pair of nearfield monitor.
