Mounting acoustic foam to walls

Does anyone have some good ways in which this can be done?

I read some people attach it do say plywood and hang it like a picture. However I do not wish to use any screws/nails as I do not "own" the room. Does anyone have any good ideas?

Is there a reason you haven't considered adhesive? that's what everyone uses.. including myself.. I got two tubes with my acoustic foam but you can buy adhesive anywhere for cheap $2-$5

CDs

Glue CD's onto the back of the foam. Push thumbtacks into the wall, then 'hang' the CD's onto the tacks. No messy glue to remove afterwards, just tiny tack holes.

That adhesive is a nightmare to remove once you decide your foam should be replaced by fiber, or you move. Adhesive would be far more damaging than nails. I would use a broad head roofing nail. That's what I did.

I'm sure it would be such a nightmare to remove it from the plywood, LOL.

In all seriousness adhesive vs nails wouldn't be worth a poll.. both work. Depending on the job at hand my choice would vary..

Instead of hanging the foam, why not just throw it away?

bahahaha
check out ATS acoustics for well priced and high quality panels. But if you have the foam just use thumb tacks for the smaller pieces and for the bigger ones use the CD trick.
