Thread Starter | How do you attach foam panels?
Hi guys, I have moved my computer to a cabinet and got a couple of (soft) acoustic foam pads for all the sides and the door to minimize the noise. I have only one room for my home studio, so that's my only option for a silent computer. The guy at the store recommended me to use double sided adhesive tape, which I bought and installed the pads this way. The tape holds really well to the wooden interior of the cabinet, but not to the flat back of the eggcrate foam pads. I don't want to use nails or glue as I might decide to put the computer in another place and don't want to make this absolutely permanent. It would be nice to get it to hold a little better than it does now, while keeping the option to use my cabinet as a regular piece of furniture without big marks of abuse. Especially the pad on the top doesn't stay where it should (I hate gravity) It's pretty clear that the structure of the foam is not a straight surface and that glue would probably hold much better than tape does. Any suggestions for a good compromise? Thanks |

Try spray glue & stick the double-sided tape to that. ![]() Cheers, John |
