would you prefer a room 5.8x3.2x2.1 or a room 5x3.2x1.1m? (bare walls)

my room is 5.8 but i was thinking to use 80cm to build a big closet and cover it with wooden sliding doors!

before i start measuring the room i should decide how big i want this room to be....any suggestions?

Question:

does it really make sense to make room acoustic measurement before having sorted out your speakers placement?

what do you think of this: Test: Stereoplay, Englisch

is it a trustworthy resource to see at least what would be a good starting point for positioning the spekers??

i did have a look at your link already,

and i used the stereoply test positioning speakers and listening position according to your tips, it looked quite promising with 5m room, less promising with 5,8m... but the results changed completely changing the reference speaker, so i assume its not a valuable test considering i'm going to use a speaker that is not included in that list.
