Allen and Heath GS3000

Hello,

I hope this is the right forum, apologies if its not.

I am busy building my new studio and I am desperately looking for a Allen and Heath GS3000 preferably 32 channel. If anyone has one they would like to sell or knows where I can get one please let me know?

Thank you

You'd be better in the WTB section of the classified ads. But even so, these boards seem fairly rare these days, few are being sold.

Before you fork out on converters, controllers, etc. take a look at the GSR-24.

Alternatively, if you're in the UK, we might be selling a 32 channel GL3300 cheeeeap. Not the same board, a totally different beast in fact, but get some Focusrite Octopres and you have yourself a fine setup!

Hey, thanks for the quick response. Yeah I have noticed they are hard to find. I missed one on ebay by two weeks and another by a day! :( Now I cant find any!

I had planned to run the GS3000 through some echo audiofire 12s as a start and then build up a collection of outboard preamps as I go along. But Im sure the GS3000 pre amps are great to begin with anyway.

I have looked at the GS R24 I really want one, just havent really made up my mind and thought the GS3000 would be a great alternative to start off with.

Let me know about that Gl 3300 though I may be interested

My mate has one - he was thinking of selling it in the past. Not sure what his plans are now with it, but I could find out.

Whereabouts are you and what kind of price were you thinking?

You might be best of PM'ing me as I think this is in the wrong section.

Cheers

Max

I was looking to buy one a while back to replace the GL3300 but plans changed so I stopped my fruitless search. I found one for sale in the UK that had been around for a while, the guy never text me back sooo...

Chase Max up on that, it's a fantastic board. The pres are great but having 1 or 2 outboard ones wouldn't hurt.

We set up the GL to record totally unprocessed through 3 Octopre LEs, a Saffire Pro40 and a Firestudio Lightpipe, then spit out into the desk for monitoring and mixing later on. We also had a TL Audio 5001 unit (4 tube pres). Shortlived setup but a good one nonetheless

Hey. I just put my beloved GS3000 (in USA) up on eBay. Do you still need one? It's a good one, for sure.
