These pictures are a clear indication that I need more money. :(

You don't want to see my blue room with 15 year old white carpet. You'd be jelly!

Very nice. Seems like very effective use of space. Do you have a tracking room as well? Congrats and all the best!thumbsup

Looks amazing but are the speakers too close together? Doesn't look like a good triangle in the pics.

Nice studio, like the stone.

We fooled around with similar ideas many years ago, so we could try and maybe gain space in smaller studios.

Was fun on paper, but wasn't that successful in practice to be honest. Lots of deviations - in fact too many. Dropped it all pretty fast. Not that it didn't work, but it didn't reach our expectations.

We prototyped a few units though, to make sure we were not overlooking a few things. Found these old pics of one of the prototypes. This one was a multi-compartmented one IIRC, hence the multiple ports.

With the years you figure out that it's best to build systems that are very good at one thing, and not try to have them do many things. At least when it comes to "custom" systems that are usually designed for a particular project. For commercial solutions, since these are more 'one fit all' solutions it's maybe easier to broadly speaking optimize things a bit. But AFAIC, the more these "combined systems" do, the more mediocre the general results are.

"Fun on paper", exactly! I never utilized the concept either. If there’s a need for low frequency absorption on the rear wall, I’d use a lightweight diffuser as panel absorber.
