Live Room/Control Room

If I build a live room and control room that is 9 feet high, 12 feet wide and 32 feet long is this gonna be an acoustic nightmare? (These measurements are for the inside room within a room, the outside being a foot bigger)

I understand I will need acoustic treatment which I will get once I analyze the room acoustically, but generally speaking will this be an ok size to work with???

I appreciate all the help. Thanks everyone

Enter your dimensions into Ethan's little calculator and see what it says. You want the lines to be spaced evenly apart. Since you're planning on building walls you can play with the dimensions until you get a good distribution.

Is this idea too long and narrow or will this work?

I think it can work if treated/setup correctly

dmykins,

For your situation, you might be better off building two rooms that are closer to the golden ratios.

You can also check with my Room Mode Calculator on my publications page & like Paul mentioned, you want to have a nice even modal spacing going as low as possible. The Bonello chart is very helpful for a pass/fail indicator.

Good luck!

Cheers,
John
