Klein and Hummel O300 - room size

Just wondering if anyone has an idea of room size and K&H O300s? The mastering room I'm setting up is about 14'x12'x8'h. Not huge. I've been warned they might be "too big" for the room and was recommended Adam A2X's.

Any feedback would be appreciated. thx!

Well, they’re ”too big” in term of that they will be able to play lower frequencies than your room can handle correctly (or at least as a qualified guess). Provided that you treat your room properly in the bass region as well, this is not a problem but if you don’t (for whatever weird reason considering that this was supposed to be a “mastering room”) then you might want to deliberately consider a monitor with restricted low end to avoid the range that would otherwise sound terrible.

Your biggest problem is the room size; it’s too small for a mastering room since your usable range will be from about 40 Hz up and the modal distribution is not optimal.

EDIT: Lovely monitors by the way! Excellent choice.
