Room Analysis graphs !!!

Hey guys! I finally got my home studio control room setup and did a test with fuzzmeasure. I was hoping some of you more experienced guys could check them out and let me know what i should work on or possibly do to make things better. I am a noob to all of this and Just trying my hardest to get my room setup as good as possible.... The room has fairly low vaulted ceilings. im setup with my mix position perpendicular to the vauting in hopes the ceiling in front of me will help reflect over the listening positino and the ceiling behind reflect back down.... This made sense to me so i hope i was right in thinking....I also have 2 4x4 foot panels of 703 fiber board to either side and the back wall for reflections.. with several more panels around the room.... room is roughly 17x17 with hardwoods floors ( area rugs). Thanks in advance for any help!

Your frequency response is around +/- 10 dB and the waterfall is so-so. That is fine for the treatment method you choose, now go and make some fine music.

Agreed. If your mixes are translating well then that is all that counts.

Oh, two possible sources for your 500 Hz dip (two out of a number of reasons):

- Try to remove the desk (that is what I did a while ago and can't be more happy about that). Computer keyboard on piano keyboard and a little side desk for the mouse, bingo.

- What material is your front wall panel covered with? (it looks a bit narrow, too)

Away

How about check the desk reflection with a mirror or ETC. Or just cover the desk with a decent panel temporarily and see if that 500Hz notch goes away.

There is another possiblility. If you stand near the measuring mic, even behind it, it can create anomalies like this. Stay away from the mic when measuring. 2 M is safe. There is a delay before sweep facility to give you time to run...
That 80Hz thing and the null below it might be improveable. Try different distances from the wall, speaker and listener. Try different speaker widths. Your graphs looks good for such little treatment. You may need some more bass traps to even out the LF.

new test

hey guys Thanks a lot for all the info! Well first I took the advice and moved the speakers and desk around until i got it as good as possible. Seem like the speakers closer together gave better results.. I also measured to make sure they were equal distance from the outside walls. Maybe becuase it brought them more under the fiberboard on the ceiling.....?!?!?! I then took the keyboard off and put fiberboard over the desk.... it did not seem to make a huge difference.. The desk i build with a 5 degree angle.... however i just made the angle even steaper and that seemed to help. also tilted screen monitors at less of an angle...... here are the new graphs.... is it weird that the bass response is so different for each speaker?? Why would there be that deep null from one speaker but not the other?? also is 42 inches apart to close for my adam a'7s t be for mixing? if my panels to left and right are only 1 " thick 703 board.... could that be why the lower mids start getting a little more erratic Thanks for all the info guys !!

It's not unusual at all for each speaker to have its own frequency response in the room. The closer you can get to left/right symmetry in the room, the closer these speakers should be.

All in all it looks good, I agree the 500Hz null is related to early reflections (desk or possibly the angled ceiling above the speakers). You have some ringing at 70Hz, try experimenting with speaker placement a bit more, or see if a thick trap on the back wall helps.
