Putting some scraps of 703FRK to use

Good evening,

I have some scrap pieces of 2" thick 703FRK that remain from making some custom sized traps that I put into my basement room. I'd have to check, but say the pieces are 1' by 2'.

One use I was considering was to simply stack them together back to back to make a brick-like trap wrapped in fabric, maybe use in a floor-wall junction, but I wasn't sure whether stacking 703 with FRK still on would mess it up? Do I need to remove the FRK? Another option - if I just use them as spot absorbers with the frk to the back, is that fine too?

Thanks for any thoughts......

That is a good question as I have never seen testing with pieces of FRK stacked like that in the corner. I can't thick why it would hurt it, but to be safe I would remove it.
As far as spot treatment, yes flip the FRK to the wall. If the panels will not be close to any mics or in the early reflection points then leaving it facing the room is fine. In fact it might be a good thing as it will keep some of the high end in the room.
