New Live Room

Hey guy's this is my first post here on GS. WHAT UP!! Ok back to business. I have a decent amount of gear so on and so on. I'm 19 and am finishing up school. I definitely have enough gear to open up a large project or semi-commercial studio. I just acquired a nice building, mainly warehouse office split 950 to 1100 sq. I spent most of my money on the gear just thinking that I could fit it all into my apartment but as I kept buying I realized that it all wasn't going to fit and definitely not be all powered without three phase. So I need to basically make a room on a low budget. the warehouse I want to be the live room which is somewhere along the lines 16x34 i need to go back and measure tomorrow. What are my options for making that room sound good on a low budget or am i

Thanks,

Rigid fiberglass or mineral wool etc is your main option. Short version:

Acoustic Basics

Long version:

Acoustics FAQ

Ok so you just want me to make a room inside of the room or just cover the walls. What about the ceiling too.

Thanks,

A room within a room is used to increase sound isolation, not improve acoustics. It's also very expensive to do correctly. The articles I linked above address making the room sound good.

How much do you have to spend? also what kind of area is it? residential? is there a lot of noise you want to keep out? or keep in? I helped build a community studio round here and we built it for £5k

Hey it's in an industrial area, not too bad on the outside noise because it's on a big piece of property. But i'm only working with probably $2k right off of the bat.
