Started My studio project!

We bought a new house in September, that came with small rec room in the basement. so now that I've done all the updates for the wife, it's time to start on my little studio space.

The room is about 12 1/2 feet by 15 feet. it originally was all done with 1/4" trailer paneling, and a drop ceiling. I've gutted the room, ripped out a small section of wall, and relocated my entry door(s) there. the original entry is going to be a storage closet/potential Iso booth. there's also a 1/2 bath attached.

Now that the room is gutted, I've started framing in some things. I'm on a really tight budget for materials, but my plan is to insulate the ceiling using a double thickness of OC R-30, Resilient channel, and two laters of 5/8 Drywall. that will bring the height of the ceiling down to just over 7.5 feet. walls will also be RC-1 with two layers of drywall (acoustic caulking as well). mostly I'll just be writing and mixing down there, but I wanted to soundproof as much as possible, so if I get a song idea at 3AM, I'm not waking up the kids playing guitar. or something.
