I started with ETF, but the past few years I've used REW exclusively.

I'm an REW guy for small rooms...SMAART for big live spaces.

Great Value

REW is great value and has some unique advantages. John seems to have addressed the issue of flaky decay readings in small rooms quite well albeit ommitting under 100Hz. Fuzzmeasure is very cheap and has really great spatial and impulse averaging functions. Dirac is interesting, in my brief encounters it seemed truly excellent, very pro, but it is obscenely expensive.

And above 10 KHz. I'm working now on a top-secret project that requires measuring reverb times up to 25 KHz or even higher. I can sorta guess by extrapolating what happens from 5 through 10 KHz, but I'd really like to directly measure RT60 at least to 20 KHz. For now I'm using the waterfall plots, which helps some.

Scale Models

Hi Ethan, I reckon Dirac might do that for you. I see scale models mentioned in the spec.
Type 7841 - 7841 DIRAC - Brüel & Kjær
There is an evaluation download at B and K. If you do a bit of teaching at some institute, you might get this at a very reduced price.
