Pics of my fix for bad looking and sounding square room

OK, thanks for all the great info on here. I'm ready to begin. Today, I'm taking measurements of where all the particular panels should go.

Tomorrow, I buy the lumber, locate the insulation, etc...

I have a few items that will be quite helpful... I have many matching indian tapestries which I will use to hide my shoddy carpentry. I also have some large cane bamboo and grass matting. Not really sure how I'm gonna use that yet except to cover some of the bare spots between panels with something a bit more diffuse and more interesting to look at than bare wall. Being an artist, I can't help but want the place to be visually stimulating and easy on the eyes as well.

I will be doing a number of broadband absorbers and bass traps in order to treat my small, square room.

I will begin now by posting my "before" pics... these are a floorplan, and untreated walls and ceiling. As I go, I will provide pics of the process until I have a breathtaking "after" photo.

Hopefully, there will be something in this thread for someone like me who comes along, has a terrible square little room to mix in, wants to fix it the best they can on a tight budget, and do so in quick order and with maximum visual appeal to boot.

enjoy.

I for one will be interested in following your progress. It's a great help to us others
when people write about their experience. The quest for "maximum visual appeal"
is to me the hardest part. Good luck with that

Just make sure none of those items are in the early reflection areas.
