Thread Starter | 5 corners in a cube room...... Hi, I already post this topic a few weeks a go but my room dimensions has been changed and i am really confuse where should i place my desk... so soon i am finishing to building my bass traps,my "vibrate" closet is going to be out, what i have left in painting and install my new pergo floor. anyway i am in a big dilemma where should place my desk...? I am adding a sketch and dimensions of my room: Height 267 cm Length-It's a bit complicated...there is a part that its 285 cm,and there is a part that's it's 335 cm Width-there is a niche that it's 218 cm and the rest is 307 cm there are 2 windows in one corner of my room (windows size 100 cm length and 0.80 cm width) the door is a part of one corner ,door size are 200 cm length and 0.70 width my questions are: how many bass traps do i need? where i should place my desk?(i made 3 sketch, which is the best one?) |

| I would go with sketch #2... it's a little bit like my CR shape, and it's working great

| Hey man, Thanks for the PM. Yes go with sketch #2.thumbsup Quote:
Class Room vol. 3 "Room Case Study" Also I would put THICK absorption on the back wall to help with nulls and peaks coming from that area.

| I have a similar shaped room to the sketch posted up here and I have had trouble with the lower/upper midrange being masked by boomy bass. At the moment my monitors are placed diagonally across the room and the midrange is still masked. How would I unmask the midrange? |

| Lives for gear | Diagonal I visited a studio recently which had monitors diagonal. Very weird smeared and disturbing imaging. I presume there is some sort of focussed bounce coming from behind. You would try putting absorbent panels behind, use the mirror trick. However I think it would be best to go for a more normal placement which we know how to make work. DD |
