DIY vocal booth question.

My friend wanted me to post this here:

I am doing the pre-production vocals at my home but I am bit worried
about the neighbours being uncomfortable me singing 4-5 hours every
day.

So, here we go:

What is the most efficiant way to make a small singing booth which
isolates sound as much as possible within reasonable pricing?
Is it best to do in the corner of the room and use those walls as
parts of the booth?

Hopefully You have the time and interest to answer me.

Everything best and with best regards,
Aleksi Sihvonen

Bricks and a two-leaf roof would be inexpensive and well isolating. If you make a zig-zag entrance and treat the inside, then a regular solid core door should be enough (instead of an acoustic double-hung door).

Effective sound isolation is very difficult in a home. As tINY said you can use bricks for their mass. But sound travels through the weakest link. A wall that is totally sound proof doesn't prevent the floor from vibrating and sending sound under the wall. Likewise for the ceiling. The right way to do this, as done in pro studios, requires much more than just massive walls. Generally, two walls are made, plus two ceilings, plus two floors, with each section decoupled from the other. This books explains the basics:
